Today was the first time I've been since early last year, our model today was a gorgeous black man named KEITU really wish i could have taken a photo in session but the organizer Shaun asked me not to.
The session started with four 10 minute poses a short tea break then two 30 minute poses. I managed to do 7 worksheets, haven't annotated all of them yet & unfortunately i don't have a large enough scanner to scan the A2 sheets at home, i just hope that RCAT has one large enough, maybe in the graphics department or the reprographics department near the Howard & Clifton buildings.
Eastwood library has a large printer/scanner/copier but I'm not too good with it since whenever i seem to use it, all my scans are inwardly stretched & become TIFF files... I'll ask the wonderful ladies in the library to show me how to do it so they don't stretch again.
OOh!!!! by the way, I made a friend :) he was there last time i was at life drawing last year, i think we spoke then too but anyway, his name is Sampa Mulenga. We sat next to each other in the drawing circle & every so often i'd glance over at his work, during the break we talked about technique & how long we've both been doing this sorta thing. at the end of the session i mentioned that i'm an art student at RCAT & that i'd like to add him to my folder as an artist link as well as taking a photograph, he did one better & gave me one of the drawings he just did. he also let me choose which one :D I chose the final 30 minute pose drawing, since i enjoyed drawing that pose.
Everyone there today was friendly & so talented!!!
I'll be adding scans (hopefully), if not photographs of the work i did in todays session during the week, probably on wednesday after Visual Recording :)
alrighty then, on with that wonder known as annotation ^_^ x
photos taken on my phone, these are (hopefully) temporary
